About me & how I got here
I am so glad you asked! I am a dog lover and coffee addict (I frequently walk dogs to various coffee shops). People often ask if I have a dog of my own and the answer is “no,” which I understand seems backwards. But, it allows me to better care for your fur babies, which is the best part of this business. By not having my own dogs, I am also able to offer care for reactive dogs.
I have a BBA in Economics and a minor in Entrepreneurship that I earned from the University of Portland in 2019. After doing dog care for 7 years on the side, The Top Dog Resort officially came to fruition in 2022.
How much experience do you have as a dog care provider?
I’ve been in the professional dog care space since 2017. In addition, I cared for my childhood dog throughout her life. All together, about 15 years combined between professional and casual. I am always continuing my education, most recently by starting my fear free certification. I am certified in “Advanced CPR and First Aid” for dogs.
What do you specialize in?
I specialize in reactive dogs who need private boarding, with no other dogs. I also specialize in helping the humans feel at ease while I care for your dog(s). I understand it is hard to leave your fur baby(ies), and I can assure you they will be cared for and loved like my own. I aim to be the best home away from home so that it is a stress free stay for all.
Are you insured?
Yes! The Top Dog Resort LLC are insured with all coverage needed to protect you and your dog(s).
What requirements are there?
Your dog must be up to date with all vaccinations and a proof of vaccination record will be required. I also require a meet and greet prior to any service.
